We had company last night and I made a Key Lime pie. There was one slice left after everyone had gone home. I put it over to the side as I was cleaning. I left the kitchen for a few minutes, and came back in the find goldilocks eating my pie. Apparently, he had been watching to see where I was going to put the pie and waiting for the perfect opportunity to get some.:-) Posted by Picasa

Will was a little nervous at first. He is used to seeing his Daddy through the computer screen; so "real life" Daddy was a bit much to take in to begin with. Posted by Picasa

Jake was not at all nervous and went right to Andy. He was so excited to see him. He couldn't wait to get to the airfield, and didn't know what was taking that plane so long. Posted by Picasa

Jacob had so many important things to tell his Daddy. Posted by Picasa

Andy, John and Charlie. They were so excited to see him again. Andy has a bad habit of talking during pictures. :-) Posted by Picasa

All together again. I have no idea what Jake and Andy were looking at, but they must have thought it was pretty funny. Posted by Picasa

Andy will be home soon

I just spoke to Andy. He was supposed to come home around the first of December, but he has managed to catch an earlier flight out of Kuwait and he should be home sometime early next week. We are all very excited. Thank you all for your prayers for his safety. Please continue to do so. We will update you all when he is back home.

Lightning McQueen, who is "faster than fast" as Jake kept telling us last night as he would run up to people's doors. Posted by Picasa

Will as Pablo the Penguin.  Posted by Picasa

The boys and their friends all ate dinner together and then went trick-or-treating. It didn't take them long to get in the spirit of things. Will had it figured out by the time we left the first house. Will was Pablo from the Backyardigans, and Jacob was Lightning McQueen. Posted by Picasa

The boys made a "Halloween House" with some of their friends. Will, the human vaccum, was too busy trying to eat all the pices of candy that had fallen on the table during the construction of the house to look up for the picture.  Posted by Picasa

Andy's in Kuwait!!

Andy left Baghdad a few days ago. I just got an email from him, and he has arrived in Kuwait safely. He will be there for quite a while, but at least he is out of Iraq. :-) Thank you for all of your prayers for his safety. Please continue to pray for him until he is home. Love you all.

Will had already had a bath and been dressed for bed. Apparently, he didn't feel that he was clean was enough. As soon as I put him down, he made a beeline for the bathroom, and hopped back into the tub with Jacob. Posted by Picasa

More Stone Mountain

The boys had such a good time. But, how can you not when you've been riding trains, eating ice cream, and hanging out with Grandparents all day?

Trip to Stone Mountain

We took a trip to Stone Mountain with Granddad and Grandmommy. The boys had such a great time. They got to pose in front of a "Pumpkin Tree".

Jake and Will had fun sitting on the Civil War cannon at Fort Donnellson with Papa, even though they were supposed to "Stay Off The Cannon", as the sign said. Oh, well. We didn't see it until after we had made the picture. Jacob rode a horse at the PX the next weekend. He was a little scared at first. It was a lot bigger than he thought it was going to be. But he worked up his courage and got on it before we left and he had a great time. Will, however, was terrified. I was holding him and walking the horse, and even that was too close for Will. He didn't want to be anywhere near the horse.

Just Think

Just Think,
You are not here by chance, but by God's choosing.
His hand formed you and made you the person that you are.
He compares you with no one else -
You are one of a kind!
You lack nothing that His grace cannot give you.
He has allowed you to be here at this time in history,
to fulfiill His special purpose for this generation.

First Day of School

Today was Jake's first day of Pre-K. He was so excited to start school and be able to take his Thomas bookbag and eat out of his Thomas lunch bag. He insisted on wearing his Atlanta Braves shirt because it's his "Daddy Shirt". Andy bought it for him after going on a trip to Atlanta last year.

Will's fight with concrete

Will fell and hit his head on our neighbor's driveway three seperate times on Sunday afternoon. As you can tell by the pictures, he didn't fare too well; the concrete definately won that round.
